Course developed by Dr. Julie Fendall DO MOstSc (Paed)

The faculty includes Julie Fendall, Dion Kulak and George Stylian. We are also delighted to welcome Susan Turner DO (registered in UK) who will be joining us for this exciting program.

Date & Location: Fri 6th May to Sun 8th May. Byron Bay Community Centre, Byron Bay, NSW.

This three day program will explore osteopathic principles in relation to the care and treatment of women prior to conception, throughout pregnancy & birth, then during the post-natal period.

This is a very practically oriented course, providing a practitioner with clinically based skills to take back into practice. Sessions will be divided between introductory lectures to each topic followed by longer periods for practical exploration.

The topics included will address pre-conception care, the structural and physiological changes of each trimester, the possible role of osteopathy at birth, and review an initial approach to treating the mother and infant post-natally.

The course will aim to provide management strategies for various musculoskeletal complaints, assist with achieving the optimal fetal position, suggest management of gastro intestinal disturbances, show procedures to aid lymphatic and vascular congestive issues, discuss maternal breast health and help with post natal management.

Treatment procedures will include Balanced Ligamentous Tension, Muscle Energy Technique, Myofascial Release and Osteopathy in the Cranial Field.
